Space of Impulses translates the vision of an open internet into a spatial experience of inspiration and reflection. A sculptural cloud of 1,441 paper strips, mapped to global data nodes, generates continuous AI-driven content printed in real time as spontaneous impulses. These printed thoughts are immersed in color, symbolizing the diversity of the web, while generative soundscape adds a layer of unpredictability and presence. Ten mirrors engraved with the Mozilla Manifesto principles merge visitor reflections with the impulses, presenting the web as a collective sphere of creativity, diversity, and openness.

LNH INSTA TEXT:
Making of – Reclaim inspiration: "Space of Impulses" imagined boundless inspiration as an essential trait of a web protected by Mozilla’s principles. In collaboration with us, the artists @pavelderschleifer and @wolfmoritzcramer crafted the installation from concept to execution.
It all started with a carefully planned play of light and a
parametric paper sculpture that formed an inspirational counterpart the world's largest internet nodes. The concept was brought to life through extensive simulations, renderings, and calculations for precision in every detail. Central to this installation are custom-built thermal printers equipped with Arduino boards utilizing the lightweight MQTT messaging protocol, encased in unique 3D-printed housings. The software developed in VVVV orchestrated the printers and produced generative content using Hugging Face AI driving a continuously evolving stream of inspiration. Large, laser-engraved mirrors augment the installation, reflecting both the physical environment and Mozilla’s fundamental principles. The experience culminates with a generative sound design, a responsive interplay of AI-driven content and experimental phonetics that harmonizes sound and vision.
